I was out sitting in the grass petting one of my 4 cats, taking a break, before my next momma task and then, finally, teaching a workshop this eve.
I was mesmerized by the bees, 4 different species, having a festive feast on the dandelions all around me. I never stop being amazed by nature (and I realize that I AM nature).
As a mom, by conscious choice, of 2 teen-ish boys, I sometimes question why I changed my mind. As a female, on this planet, I had always said I would not have kids for many reasons:
- environmental
- social
- political
- nutritional
- big ag
- big pharma
- economic....
Well, the list goes on and on. Sometimes I question why I brought kids into this world. Thanks to the Bees, I was bee-ing present: one with the earth, one with the moment.
I realized that right now, all was well with the world, right now, in this moment.
These thoughts keep me doing what I do to make the world a better place, a healthier place, for all beings (my kids included!).
Then I meandered down to the quarry and the Blue Heron is back! YAY!!!
And the wild flowers are going crazy!
Take a break; Bee in the moment, even if for just a moment.
