I love Yoga. Yoga in the snow. Yoga on the beach. Yoga in the woods. Yoga anywhere & everywhere is just fine with me. Because Yoga is everywhere and not just about the poses.
I have written many posts about the gift of healing that Yoga is to Body, Mind, & Spirit.
We had an amazing day today. I walked the dogs for 1 1/2 hours in the sunny, solitude of the woods. I then thought, I need to go home and do Yoga. But, I had no desire to be inside. Next thought: just do Yoga in the snow. Awesome idea, I will.
Praying Sphinx in the snow OR slide down the hill on your belly pose.
Spiraling up the wisdom of Great White Pine pose.
Spiraling up the wisdom of the Mighty Oak pose.
Legs down the Tree, Chi up the spine, pose.
Limbs up to sway in the breeze pose.
Face plant in the Pine pitch, cuz it smells oh sooooo good, pose.
Hug the Tree cuz we both need the ♥️ Pose.
Bowing to the Wisdom of the Oak pose.
Cool my ass in the snow & soak up sun contemplation before I go off on another lab/border collie inspired romp in the woods pose.
A tree doesn’t see itself as a tree outside of the Whole anymore than a body cell sees itself outside of the Whole of your body (or the Whole of everything for that matter).
A tree lives, breathes, and functions from the space of being a part of the Web of Life. So it goes with your body cells. They are part of the Web of Life.
How does this relate to Yoga?
When you are in the flow of Yoga poses, focusing on breath and body movement, you connect with Self. Self is part of the Whole. You connect with the Collective Soul, Universal Consciousness. The Web of Life flows through you and is you. Life does not get more mindful than this. And, the beauty is, Yoga practiced daily will carry this calm with you everywhere. You will be a peaceful part of the Whole.
Yoga inspired calm heals body cells. Add in Trees and you get a bionic self healing treatment. Yes, of course, both of the links back there have inspiring posts to read. I try and supply you with tools & support you in your self healing.
