The White Beads in Ointment: These beads are concentrated beads of nourishing plant butters which can solidify into little butter bits as the ointment cools down.

Natural, unrefined, and unprocessed butters, like my unrefined coconut oil, will occasionally separate into little beads with changes in temperature.

I use only unrefined coconut & olive oils because they are so much more nourishing for your skin. I work with herbs, oils, & foods in as close to their whole state as I can access, as Nature intended, because whole medicine nourishes whole health.

Refined oils may make “prettier & perfect (predictable)” shelf products but my Herbalist & Holistic trainings value whole nourishment over pretty, perfect, and predictable. We are whole. Whole nourishes whole to remain whole. It is how Nature works. We ARE Nature!

The little beads generally form in the Summer months, but, changes in temperature as the shipped products journey to you, can happen any time of year.

The warmth of your hands and your body will melt the concentrated beads of butter as you massage the product into your skin.

My goal is to create the very best natural, nourishing ointments possible, so I formulate my products without any synthetic stabilizers, etc.

Most companies also use refined oils because they are easier to work with.

Dark Precipitation on the bottom of the jar: jar with darker sediment on the bottom means the ointment was some of the last pour from the batch.

Not all herbal matter gets filtered out perfectly. The last jar or two poured can have some herb material that settle to the bottom. This too is very nourishing for the skin. The bottom herb filled ointment is a poultice of nourishment. My gift to your skin. You are very welcome.

Again, I choose nourishment over pretty & shelf perfect.
